The Signature 10 Writing Essentials Cohort is a five-week, highly interactive experience for educators, coaches, and leaders ready to bring clarity, confidence, and coherence to writing instruction. Together, we’ll explore my signature 10 essentials of impactful writing instruction, bridging foundational skills and authentic writing so every student can thrive.
A Framework Built for Success
After nearly three decades studying excellence in writing instruction, across classrooms, schools, and districts, I’ve rolled up my sleeves and seen it all, the triumphs, the pitfalls, the messy in-betweens. I’ve studied both writing workshop approaches and more structured, sentence-level instruction, and I’ve distilled everything into a practical, clear framework.
Five 90-Minute Sessions over 5 weeks. 60 minutes of research-backed learning + 30 minutes of dialogue, reflection, and application.

The pricing tiers for this cohort are intentional. They reflect two things: how the learning is funded and where and how it will be used. Please select the option that best describes your situation.
Spring 2026 Cohort Dates: March 4, 11, 18, 25, April 8. All sessions are live on Zoom, with two live options each week (7:00 PM EST and 12:00 PM EST). Recordings are included.
Consultant Use $800
I will use the ideas, language, frameworks, or tools from this cohort in my own paid consulting, coaching, or professional learning work and will cite Leah Mermelstein appropriately.
School-Funded $600
My school, district, or organization is supporting me financially to participate in this cohort.
Self-Paying $300
I am paying out of my own pocket because institutional funding is not available to me.
