NEXT COHORT BEGINS OCTOBER 14th! 〰️
The Signature 10 Writing Essentials Cohort is a five-session, deeply personal experience for educators, coaches, and leaders ready to bring clarity, confidence, and coherence to writing instruction. This isn't a webinar series — it's a working partnership with Leah, built on nearly three decades of research, classroom practice, and district-level work, distilled into a framework you can put to use immediately.
Where Research Meets the Art of Teaching
The literacy field is full of research. What's harder to find is someone who's spent nearly three decades translating that research into what actually works in real classrooms, with real kids, in real time. That's the work Leah does — not just as a consultant, but as someone still in the field, still in district partnerships, still testing these ideas against the messy realities of live instruction.
This cohort draws directly from that work. I'll bring in curriculum I've built with real districts, student writing samples, and actual coaching conversations — the moments where a framework meets a live classroom and has to hold up. You're not just getting a framework. You're getting the thinking behind it, and a small group of your own to pressure-test it against your context, with me, personally.
What’s Included:
-
Leah leads you through her signature 10 Writing Essentials framework and the paradoxes within it — this is a workshop, not a webinar. Sessions meet Tuesdays, October 14, 21, 28, November 4, and 18, with two live time options each week: 2:00 PM EST or 7:00 PM EST. Every session is recorded and available for 60 days, so if your schedule only allows for watching on your own time, you'll still get the full framework. But coming live is where it comes alive: Leah facilitates the room in real time, helping participants think across grade levels and roles — connecting what a kindergarten teacher is wrestling with to what a middle school coach is seeing. Each session ends with an open Q and A. That kind of exchange only happens live.
-
This is where the framework becomes your next steps. You'll be placed into a small group of under 10 people for one 45-minute session, tied to one of the five live workshop dates, to work through how this applies to your context — whether that's a concrete plan to improve student writing, a start on district curriculum, or a slow, deliberate way to move these ideas into your system. No need to choose a time — Leah will handle placement personally and email you your group and time before the cohort begins. This session isn't recorded — it's just for the people who show up.
-
A $100 value on its own. Planning guides, frameworks, and materials you can revisit anytime — included with your registration.
-
A growing resource Leah builds and adds to with every cohort. You'll have permanent access to everything in it.
-
All five sessions recorded and available for 60 days. Slide decks are yours to keep — so the ideas from each session stick long after the cohort ends, not just while you're in it.
-
If you’re registering with 5 or more people from the same school or district, you'll get a dedicated small-group session for your team instead of the standard grade-band grouping — a room built around your shared students, your shared curriculum, your shared context. Leah will reach out directly once your group is registered to find a time that works for everyone.

Now Is The Time To Take Action
The literacy landscape is crowded, noisy, and full of opinions. Leah's Shortcut to Clarity approach helps you cut through the noise and arrive at actionable strategies faster — without overwhelm, grounded in research and tested in real classrooms and real districts.
This cohort gives you:
Feeling: Be heard, stay energized, and remain engaged—even when challenged.
Clarity: Cut through conflicting advice to identify what truly works in classrooms.
Lasting Impact: Access strategies, templates, and frameworks that continue to support teachers and students long after the cohort ends.
We don't just check off these boxes. We explore how to integrate the Essentials into coherent, engaging, and sustainable writing instruction — instruction that energizes both teachers and students while building confidence and mastery along the way.
